  General store is probably the best larger sized interesting cafes in Anglesea and is a great place for small to large groups. The three different areas for seating make the cafe interesting, although at times the distance of some dining areas can make you feel forgotten by staff. The service is friendly but not attentive for the shed or backyard area and there is a very very long wait for take away coffee. I had a breakfast type muffin and unfortunately it tasted a little too starchy, although I had a vegetarian breakfast another time and it was super. They have some great little sale items (local artisian products) and some designer things home things. Personally think they could stock even more for variety and to keep people interested in spending more time inside the cafe. Overall this is a nice cafe, could do better in turn around times for food, coffee and service. Favourite part of my experience is the vegie back garden. Great for families and kids.

  This place has all the atmosphere and that where it stops. It's really expensive for what you get. If you are a vegetarian make sure you have a sign saying so. They have ham in the 'beans' and expect you to announce that you don't eat meat before you order. Last I looked beans are not animal product. Poached eggs are always done hard. Sad becuase this place has real potential.

  Always happy to drop in here on the way along the Great Ocean Road. It can get busy owing to its popularity particularly if you are ordering coffee to go. Great coffee and food if you have time to chill.
